Almost Wordless Wednesday: Helena Holiday Festival

Last week our town kicked off the Christmas season with our annual Helena Holiday Festival, a series of seasonal events scheduled primarily during the first week of December. I thought it’d be fun to share some pictures of our small town celebrations. My favorite event is the lighting of the Christmas tree and the downtown park, which is always followed by a round of community caroling. Every year it makes me feel like I’m living in a Hallmark movie!

My friend’s son flipping the switch to light the hospital’s Christmas tree

Nick and his choir performing a few holiday favorites for the hospital’s event

Our statue of a student from Southland College, wrapped up to brave the weather

Our little Christmas tree

Singing carols in the park downtown

Three of my favorites getting into the holiday spirit. You can’t really tell but Misti, on the right, is preggers!

The final Warfield Concert of the year featuring the Memphis Symphony Orchestra Big Band concert – so much fun!

Happy Holidays!
