Dress Code: Red, White & Blue

Jules and I were the kind of kids who always loved dressing up. Not just for fancy occasions, which are a different type of fun; I’m talking about making our own Halloween costumes, enthusiastically participating in every day of high school Spirit Week, wearing pink and red on Valentine’s Day, dressing as our favorite characters for movie premieres…you get the picture. Sadly, it’s been awhile since I’ve worn a proper Halloween costume or dressed up for a movie premiere, but I still feel compelled to wear patriotic attire on the Fourth of July. Here are a few classy, understated, totally grown-up ways to rock the red, white and blue this weekend. No flag t-shirts here!

Who else likes to dress up for holidays? American friends, what are your plans for the Fourth of July?

  1. Totally bought that J.Crew dress to wear with my American flag scarf alllll weekend long : ) Nothing beats dressing in a festive manner : )

  2. Dressing up is so much fun! I love seeing people’s red white and blue attire for the 4th. I want those red heels, sandals and that blue bag! So cute!

    • That’s the best part! They’re all so versatile ❀ And yes that bag is calling my name too…

  3. Love your choices: the sunglasses and the red heels especially seem to be wispering my name πŸ™‚
