About Us
Amelia and Julia (aka Mil and Jules) have been friends/platonic life partners since sixth grade. Their eyes met across a crowded room during first period band, and the rest is history. Since then, their lives pulled them in different directions: Mil left home for college in Chicago, then later returned to the Pacific Northwest; Jules attended college in Seattle, then lived in New York for awhile before settling down in the South. But after 10 years of long distance friendship, they’re finally reunited! Jules now lives in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood with her husband and two adorable dogs. Mil lives across the water in Bellevue, Washington with her collection of handbags.
Mil and Jules started South by Northwest as a way of staying connected when they lived far apart; it’s become a place to share their thoughts on beauty, style, books, food, entertaining, and being lifelong ladyfriends.
