Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! How was your week? It may have been a short one, but I am very much ready for the weekend. I’m excited to attend the Main Street Choc Walk tomorrow, which is exactly what it sounds like: an excuse to stroll through my neighborhood sampling bonbons and sipping wine. I hope your weekend plans are just as sweet! But first, please enjoy a few of my favorites from this week.

Friday Favorites: Hello Lucky Stationery, Summer Lip Stains, National Donut Day, Tulum, Anti-Konmari

1. I’m a hardcore stationery hoarder, and Hello!Lucky is my latest obsession. Their letterpress cards are adorable, hilarious, and totally pun-tastic. (Hello!Lucky)

2. Lip stains are the name of the game when it comes to summer beauty, and I can’t wait to try some of Emily’s favorites. (Cupcakes and Cashmere)

3. Happy National Donut Day, y’all! Here are all the places you can get free donuts today. You’re welcome! (Thrillist)

4. These photos from Rosie’s trip to Tulum are making me want to go back to Mexico…and eat a crazy amount of guac on the beach, obviously. (The Londoner)

5. We’re all familiar with the KonMari approach to cleaning house, but I’m personally somewhat partial to the joy of clutter. (Vogue)

Have an awesome weekend!

Stationery Roundup: Funny Christmas Cards

So, it has been brought to my attention that Christmas is next week. How did that sneak up on me so quickly?! I honestly thought I had at least a couple of weeks left to prepare. This oversight means that I have not yet sent out my Christmas cards, which is a non-negotiable holiday tradition for me. If you’re as behind as I am, well, it’s your lucky day! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite funny Christmas cards, perfect to break up the flow of monotonous nativity scenes (sorry, Jesus) and generic “Happy Holidays!” fare.

Do you send out holiday cards? Or am I the only one who’s still obsessed with snail mail?

Stationery Roundup: V-Day Edition

I’m a huge fan of snail mail. HUGE. There’s nothing more exciting than looking in your mailbox to find that someone has sent you a little token of affection, whether it’s a postcard or a glorious care package. Plus, it’s such a great way to stay connected when your friends live far away. Jules and I lived in different states (and for a little while, different countries) for ten years, and sending each other some love through the mail always made the distance a lot easier. Every time I saw her familiar handwriting on a piece of mail, it made me smile (still does, in fact)!

In my mind, Valentine’s Day is an excellent opportunity to lavish your friends (both near and far) with some extra affection. Here are some of the best V-Day cards for your girlfriends – we’ve got sweet, silly, sarcastic, and everything in between.

My personal faves are 2, 10 and 12. Do you and your besties swap Valentine’s cards? Or even better, celebrate Galentine’s Day, Leslie Knope-style?
