Happy Friday, you guys! The weather here has been ridiculously beautiful for the past couple of days, and it’s totally going to my head. I feel like it’s already summer! What are you up to this weekend? I’ve only just realized that Seattle Restaurant Week starts on Sunday, so I’m hoping it’s not too late to score a reservation or two. Seattleites, any favorite restaurants I should try? Let me know…now let’s get the weekend started with a few fun links!

Our Friday Faves this week include pad thai french fries, career advice from Anna Wintour, and photos from the upcoming Gilmore Girls revival

1. This week, two of my favorite foods combined forces in a holy union of flavor: behold Pad Thai French Fries! This might very well be the most genius pairing since chocolate and peanut butter got together. (Lauren Kelp)

2. For those in search of career inspiration, look no further than fashion powerhouse Anna Wintour. These are a few of the secrets to her success. (Career Girl Daily via Lace & Pearls)

3. In the midst of a decorating rut? Few things will transform your home more completely than killer statement wallpaper. (I Spy DIY)

4. If you’ve ever experienced the pure horror of accidentally sending your boss an email that was meant for your bestie, then you’ll appreciate these awesome Google hacks – including how to un-send an email. (The Everygirl)

5. Jules and I are beyond excited for the Gilmore Girls revival, and Entertainment Weekly just released the first official photos from the set. No spoilers, but there’s plenty of material to fuel our fan theories. Let the wild speculation begin! (Bustle)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday, everybody! It’s been a tiring week and I’m looking forward to spending some quality time in bed this weekend. Apart from that, I’ll be unpacking some more, trying a new brunch place, and enjoying some yummy bites at the Taste of Main. Meanwhile, Jules is backpacking through the Enchantments with some friends who are visiting from out of town. What about you guys? Any cool plans for the weekend? Let’s kick things off with a few fun links!

1. Feeling a little meh about work lately? Here’s a roundup of 15 career books to inspire you. (A Cup of Jo)

2. These ideas for keeping fit while you travel made me think of Jules, who dutifully went running every morning of our beach vacation while I slept in like a slacker. (World of Wanderlust)

3. Who among us hasn’t dreamed of staying in the world’s most Instagram-worthy boutique hotels? (Fathom)

4. The return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte is nearly upon us, and Starbucks says they’ll be ditching the artificial fillers in favor of actual pumpkin. Woohoo! Let’s hope the deliciousness wasn’t in the caramel coloring. (Refinery29)

5. Fear the Walking Dead premieres this Sunday and I cannot wait! You can watch the opening scene now, which contains our very first walker sighting. Who else is excited for the beginning of the zombie apocalypse? (Vulture)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday, you guys! What’s going on this weekend? Jules has selflessly volunteered to help me pack up my apartment, and after we tire of that, we’ll probably take a break to enjoy the Bellevue Arts Fair. There’s always some amazing stuff to see (last year’s highlight was a giant iron moose), and hopefully I’ll get a few ideas for decorating my new place. Don’t worry, the giant moose will not be involved. Now let’s kick off the weekend with a few fun links!

1. Has anyone heard of Illumask? Apparently this weird stormtrooper-esque mask uses light therapy to clear up acne-causing bacteria in your skin. One rave review has me intrigued! (The Golden Girl)

2. These tips for taking blog photos are super handy. The focus is on composition and styling rather than technical stuff – helpful for everyone, whether you’re working with an iPhone or a fancy camera. (Ghost Parties)

3. See what $1,500 in rent looks like around the world. In Cairo, it’ll get you a sweet view of the pyramids. (BuzzFeed)

4. Even though I live alone, I think this guide to decorating a home with your significant other is really interesting. Now someone just needs to write a guide titled “How to Convince Him He Doesn’t Need Any Closet Space.” (A Beautiful Mess)

5. Who else is watching UnREAL? Jules and I are hooked. If you love the Bachelor (or love to hate it), you’ll enjoy this look at what happens behind the scenes of a “reality” dating show. It’s dark, twisted and totally entertaining. Anyway! This interview with one of the show’s creators poses an interesting question: can we be feminists and still love The Bachelor? (Elle)

Have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Friday, everybody! What’s shaking this weekend? The Game of Thrones premiere is two days away, just in time to fill the hole that the Walking Dead has left in my Sunday night (but not the one in my heart). Seattle Restaurant Week kicks off this weekend, and I’m excited to try someplace new. And I’ve got another clothing swap tomorrow, which reminds me, I need to weed through my closet at some point…procrastinate with me and enjoy a few of my favorite links from the week!

1. Over the course of 50 years, Albert Podell achieved something that’s on the bucket list of every ambitious traveler: visiting all 196 countries on Earth. In this interview, he discusses the weirdest foods he’s eaten, the time he was almost lynched, and how to judge a country by its toilet paper. (

2. Speaking of travel, check out these 10 amazing travel apps to help you with everything from packing to navigating the subway in 137 different cities. (

3. Here’s one for you Game of Thrones fans: Jon Snow as possibly the worst dinner guest ever. (Well, ok, admittedly Joffrey would be the worst.) You know nothing about small talk, Jon Snow! (

4. These 20 creative spring party themes will inspire you to plan your own festive fête as soon as possible. Who’s up for a gelato tasting party? How about a glamping-themed backyard bash? (

5. Treat yourself this weekend with one of these DIY beauty recipes for flawless skin. The exfoliating breakfast mask actually sounds pretty tasty… (

Have a fabulous weekend!
